NEW! Upcoming Bill to Amend Education Freedom Accounts - Parents are encouraged to learn more about an upcoming bill to amend NH Education Freedom Accounts. House Bill 1592 would disallow the use of funds for religious based schools, which means that EFA funds would no longer be available to Saint Christopher Academy families. Please read more about this bill, along with another bill which will affect homeschooling families who use EFA funds, HERE.

NEW! Catholic Schools Office Parent Survey - As part of the Diocese of Manchester’s Catholic Schools Office (CSO) ongoing partnership with parents, the CSO often seeks your input as it relates to your child’s Catholic school experience. The Catholic Schools Office is asking all parents in our diocesan Catholic school system to please complete a parent survey. If you have multiple children enrolled (and in multiple schools), please select one diocesan/parish school for the purpose of this survey. The CSO is grateful for your time; hearing directly from parents helps them in their role as Catholic school system administrators. Deadline to complete the survey is March 22nd. Please click the link HERE to begin. Thank you for your participation!
Recognizing Excellence Award Nominations - Nominations for the 2024 Diocese of Manchester’s Teacher of the Year, Clergy of the Year, and St. Joseph the Worker awards are now open!
- Teacher of the Year Award - The New Hampshire Catholic School Teacher of the Year views Catholic education not only as a profession, but as a vocation of service to students and to the greater Church. A practicing Catholic active in his or her faith, the award recipient brings a joyful witness to his or her ministry that inspires students to not only achieve academically, but to put their skills and knowledge to good use creating the Kingdom of God on Earth. Submit a nomination HERE.
- Clergy of the Year Award – The recipient of the Spirit of St. John Vianney Award is a member of the clergy who similarly provides inspirational support for Catholic education in the diocese. The faithful witness that the recipient of the Spirit of St. John Vianney award provides is inspirational to students as they go on to eventually discern their vocation in life. Submit a nomination HERE.
- St. Joseph the Worker Award – The New Hampshire Catholic Education Community Saint Joseph the Worker of the Year Award is presented to a Catholic school community member whose gift of time, talent, or treasure of transformative influence, enabling Catholic education to thrive in their community. Nominees may include school leaders, directors, volunteers, donors, or any member of the local community who demonstrates the Christian values of faith, humility, and outreach to the marginalized in their personal lives as well as integrity, respect, and service in the workplace. Submit a nomination HERE.

Upper campus students will have the opportunity for confession during their Theology classes on March 21. Reconciliation is always voluntary, although we certainly encourage students to partake of this healing sacrament.
NEW! Campus Ministry Updates - Our upper campus Campus Ministry program is busy! Here’s a few updates on their current activities:
- Saint Chris Campus Ministry will be visiting the elderly at Aynsley Place (80 Lake Street) next week from 3-4pm on Tuesday, March 12th. All UC students are welcome to attend!
- Next Saint Chris's Kitchen will be on Thursday, March 21st from 3-4:30pm. In honor of their feast days, we'll be making St. Patrick's pretzel shamrocks and St. Joseph's flatbread personal pizzas.
- Just as our environment goes through seasons, there are seasons in the spiritual life, too. While many start off the Spring season with “Spring cleaning,” we as Catholics go through our own “Spring cleaning” during the season of Lent: Taking time to pray, fast from the non-essentials, give to others in need (almsgiving), refocus our hearts on Jesus, journey with Him through His suffering and death to His Resurrection at Easter. For this reason, we have a new almsgiving opportunity: Upper and Lower Campus will be hosting a diaper drive to benefit Birthright from now until March 22nd. They are especially looking for sizes 2-6. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
NEW! Silver Knights Education Day - We are excited to announce that our grade 1 through 6 students will be attending the Silver Knights Education Game on Tuesday, June 4! Parents will also be given the opportunity to purchase tickets and attend with us. More details on ticket prices and other arrangements will be forthcoming soon!
UPDATED! Spring Portraits- O’Connor Studios is returning to the lower campus on Wednesday, March 27 for Spring Portraits for lower campus students only. This is a one-time event, so there are no retakes for absent students.
Only students who have paid for photos will go to the photographer to have a picture taken. As with fall portraits, each student is given a unique access code for ordering. O'Connor Studios will send parents an email message with a link for online ordering. Paper order envelopes will also go home before the 27th. Both will include your student's unique access code. If you are interested in having your student's spring portrait taken, you may place an order online or use the paper envelope. Students purchasing pictures should bring their online receipt or their completed envelope to school for picture day.*
This is a Dress UP Day! All lower campus students may dress up instead of wearing the uniform, regardless of whether they're getting a spring portrait!
