Welcome to Saint Christopher Academy
Saint Christopher Academy is a pre-kindergarten through grade 8 Catholic school with a proud heritage, mission, and philosophy. At Saint Chris, we value academic excellence and spiritual development within a caring, joy-filled community. We are a school made up of dedicated teachers, interested children, and a parent body which really cares about the nature and quality of our students' education.
Unique among Catholic schools in New Hampshire, our dual Nashua campuses serve grades pre-k to grade 5 at our lower campus and grades 6 to 8 at our nearby upper campus. Students move seamlessly between campuses and benefit from the distinctly age appropriate experiences at each location with access to more advanced academic programs and a broader range of extracurricular and athletic opportunities. The academy is one school, two campuses, and many opportunities!
Academics for the Mind
Our emphasis on the basics through structured, proven methods paired with innovative technology produces students who consistently rank above national averages on standardized testing. Our dynamic staff challenges students to be independent, curious learners in all subject areas. Teaching techniques tap student discipline and creativity, promoting the enjoyment of learning as well as mastery. One valedictorian of a local high school cited his third grade teacher from Saint Chris in his graduation speech, “She taught me the love of learning.”
Religion for the Soul
Our curriculum includes daily instruction in theology for students in all grades. Students attend Mass on a regular basis, as well as on Holy Days of Obligation. Additional prayer services and Eucharistic Adoration occur throughout the year. Our religious education, however, goes beyond the understanding of the values taught by Jesus; it also enforces those values in the students’ everyday life. These values include respect for the teachers and one another; appreciating our differences, lending a hand when someone is in need, and encouraging one another to strive for kindness and excellence. While religious education is Catholic based, non-Catholic students profit from daily reinforcement in universal Christian values.
Keeping Education Personal
Saint Christopher Academy students total about 515 across our two campuses. Class sizes are limited to ensure individual attention for every student. Many grades have a waiting list each year, so we encourage early application. Pre-kindergarten students attend five days a week in either a morning half day program or an all day program.
Clean, Bright, and Safe Facilities
Saint Christopher Academy’s two facilities provide spacious classrooms that are clean, bright, and cheerful, reflecting the pride of our teachers and our students. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards for additional learning resources and supplemental activities. Both campuses include a computer lab, and the lower campus features a well-equipped library. Both buildings are safe and secure, with security systems in place.
The lower campus building connects directly to St. Christopher Church, which is used for religious services and special events. The church hall is used for indoor physical education classes, music programs, and school activities. Finally, the playground is our students' favorite place to be!
The upper campus building features a large gymnasium and a fully equipped kitchen and cafeteria. We also have a beautiful chapel located within the school building which is open for student prayer and contemplation, along with scheduled opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration.
We offer a nutritious hot lunch program on both campuses and provide a full-time school nurse at each location.
Uniforms for Focus
Numerous studies have proven that uniforms enhance an educational setting by “leveling the field” for all students and by helping focus their attention on the true priorities for attending school. We agree. The Saint Christopher uniform offers flexibility for boys and girls, while maintaining a clean and consistent look.
